Sword Art Online is a Japanese light novel series written by Reki Kawahara and illustrated by abec. The series takes place in the near future and focuses on various virtual reality MMORPG worlds. The story follows the adventures of Kirito, a solo player who ends up trapped in the virtual world of Aincrad.
The light novels have been adapted into two anime television series produced by Aniplex and Genco. The first season, titled Sword Art Online, aired in Japan between July and September 2012. The second season, titled Sword Art Online II, aired between July and December 2014. Both seasons have been licensed for release in North America by Aniplex of America.
The Four Seasons
